Pledge (People & Pastoral)

The People PledgeI pledge to lovingly approach anyone who has a conflict/concern with me (or with whom I have a conflict/concern), with a desire to resolve the issue. If the first attempt to resolve the issue is not successful, I pledge to approach the person again with the accompaniment of one (1) or two (2) mature Christians who are not connected to the issue and can be totally objective. If this attempt to resolve the issue fails, I pledge to approach the person again with the accompaniment of pastoral leaders and the one (1)  or two (2)  other Christians who were involved before. If this last attempt to resolve the issue does not succeed, the Senior Pastor and Active Elders/Deacons will assess the situation and make a final verdict. I will also direct anyone with a conflict/concern to follow this process.   –Based on Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 18:15-17

The Pastoral PledgeI pledge to bring all conflicts/concerns that pertain to any ministry at Enon Baptist Church to the ministry leader to whom my conflict/concern pertains. If the one-on-one meeting doesn’t solve the issue, a meeting with the Senior Pastor, Active Elders/Deacons, and Ministry Leader to which my conflict/concern applies will be scheduled. The Senior Pastor and Active Elders/Deacons will assess the situation and make a final verdict. I pledge to only discuss my conflict/concern with said ministry leader or in said meeting. I will also direct anyone with a conflict/concern to follow this process. –Based on Matthew 18:15-17 & 1 Timothy 5:19
